"IR Brivdienas"
Be like the lotus,
Trust in the light,
Grow through the dirt,
Believe in new beginnings.
I had an opportunity to make an illustration for a lifestyle magazine "IR Brīvdienas". This time it was almost a guidance about how to stand up after being crushed by failures.
And what mostly stuck in my mind was the metaphor about lotus flowers who can only be planted in the thickest mud. And of course, when you have such a wise and poetic theme to work with, I couldn't stop myself from leaving the rest of the ideas unfinished.
